A number of Special Issues will be published following the 2nd World Congress in select Journals. This page lists all the necessary information you will require when wishing to submit your work for one (or more) of them.

Following the 2nd World Congress on Electroporation and Pulsed Electric Fields in Biology, Medicine and Food & Environmental Technologies held in Norfolk (VA), USA, Prof. Richard Heller, the host of the Congress and the main organiser, and Prof. Damijan Miklavčič (Intl. Org. Committee), are inviting participants to contribute to the present Special Issue of Bioelectrochemical Journal on the topic: Advances in electroporation and emerging electroporation technologies and therapeutic approaches.

Submissions accepted after: September 24th, 2017

Submission deadline: November 15th, 2017

Acceptance deadline: May 15th, 2018

Instructions on how to submit: Authors should go to the home page of Bioelectrochemistry (www.journals.elsevier.com/bioelectrochemistry), and press “Submit Your Paper”, which will redirect to the Evise site of the journal. When trying to submit, the Authors need to choose the “VSI: 2nd WC Electroporation” option when designating the article type (as shown below).

Following the 2nd World Congress on Electroporation and Pulsed Electric Fields in Biology, Medicine and Food & Environmental Technologies held in Norfolk (VA), USA, Shu Xiao, Sunao Katsuki, Allen Garner and Caterina Merla are inviting participants to contribute to a Special Issue of BioMed Research International.  The major emphasis of the Special Issue will be Delivery of Ultrashort Electric Pulses to Biological Targets and Resulting Effects.

This will include contributions related to basic as well as applied science.

Frontiers in Microbiology


Frontiers in Microbiology

Following the 2nd World Congress on Electroporation and Pulsed Electric Fields in Biology, Medicine and Food & Environmental Technologies held in Norfolk (VA), USA, Prof. Henry Jäger invites participants to contribute to a Special Issue of Frontiers in Microbiology. All submissions related to the treatment of microbial cells by electrotechnologies or other novel technologies are most welcome. They should include state of the art research about underlying mechanisms and their implication on the development of application and validation concepts. A 15 % reduction of the usual publication fee will apply for submissions to this Special Issue.
